You do not need to be a professional or a heavy lifter. All pieces are manageable and fits perfectly in their well defined spots. You would need some tools and you should be good to go.
WHY AS SMALL AS 100SQ.FT? (M POD)
The M Pod is considered a movable structure and is under 100 sq.ft which generally is exempt from permit requirements. Most of the cities in North America do not require a permit to build a small structure less than 10 square meters.

The Surface needs to be levelled and flat.

Width of the Pods is 9.9FT meters but it still can be easily loaded onto a 8FT flatbed. You could contact us for images on how it is done.
HOW WILL THE POD BE PLACED ON YOUR PROPERTY?
We usually use flatbed trucks and cranes but it is a possibility this might not be an option for your property so that's why we always complete a property analysis prior to selling a TPod.
WHY BUILD WITH STEEL AND NOT WOOD?
Wood if not protected and treated can be a problem for the long term. Our modern design and keeping in mind the longevity of the product has made us decide to go with glavanized steel. Our product can stand all 4 seasons. Our windows and door system is commercial grade and designed to be maintenance free. We will continue to explore material options to help with price but we will never compromise on quality.
WHY NOT USE DRYWALL?
Drywall will probably crack during transportation. That means more site work and more cost. Waste drywall is also getting harder and harder to dispose of. We choose to use interlocking prefinished planks for a few reasons: they are beautiful, its strong and lasts, it can easily be replaced if damaged, it can be easily removed to add or fix interior wall components, you can hang a cabinet or shelf anywhere and not worry about catching a stud. The best reason is that stains can be wiped or washed off easily.
IS T-PODS ENVIRONMENTALLY FRIENDLY COMPANY?
Absolutely! the modular industry as a whole is more environmentally conscious than traditional construction practices. we have less material waste and less travel times for all our projects. we also fabricate and insulate with materials designed to last longer.
All our pods have provision for natural energy and made with sustainable materials.
DO WE STOCK MATERIALS?
We do not stock materials for more than 7 days after the customer is informed that the order is prepared. There is a storage fee of $250 per Pod/Dome.

Just like a conventional caravan, our tiny houses come standard with a standard garden hose plug connection. It's that simple!!! Alternatively, we can offer Rainwater storage tanks and pumps at an additional cost allowing you to go off grid.
HOW DO I CONNECT MY T-PODS TO POWER?
The T-Pods comes with 3’ attached exterior cord for you to connect to an extension cord and plug into a dedicated 110v circuit on the exterior of your house. If you choose the Heating/Cooling upgrade option you will need to have an electrician connect the T-Pods to a panel.
AIR CONDITIONING & ELECTRICAL DEVICES
You could easily add an air conditioning unit, a stove or a fireplace and so on. There are typically a least 2 additional breaker spaces available in the electrical panel for hard-wiring your ac unit. There are LED lights, power sockets and electrical panels to manage voltage. You could upgrade you unit with solar package.
WHAT IS THE WARRANTY?
We offer 1 year part replacement for main frame, window frame and walls.
WHAT MAINTENANCE DO I HAVE TO DO FOR EXTERIOR OF THE POD?
Our structure is robust and made for the harsh weather. We have used Galvanized steel and aluminium steel window and door frames. Our siding is made to handle any weather. The structure is made to last a lifetime and does not require any paint or maintenance. Main structure and frames are powder coated to protect from rust.
If you do decide to move your pod regularly with steel chains, you should get an anti rust treatment on the portion where the paint has come off.

BUILDING PERMIT FOR DOME?

Permanent foundations are not required for a Dome kits, which usually qualifies them as temporary structures, not requiring planning permission in most places.
IS THE DOME EASY TO BUILD?
T.Domes Geodesic Dome Kit are designed specifically with self-assembly in mind. By following steps described in the assembly manual, provided together with the structure, you can build the dome with help of your friends, family or co-workers.
CAN I USE MY T.DOME ALL YEAR ROUND?
Yes, T.Domes can be used all year round in nearly any climate conditions. Many of our customers set up their domes as semi-permanent or permanent structures and never take them down for a winter / summer season. Thanks to high quality of materials used for production of our geodesic dome kits, they are not prone to harsh weather conditions or low temperatures.
WHAT IS THE DURABILITY OF THE STEEL STRUCTURE USED IN T.DOMES?
All steel elements of our self-assembly geodesic dome kits are hot-dip galvanised (both sided). They are completely protected from corrosion and will not rust even if exposed to humidity / water for long periods of time. For better visual finish, we offer optional powder coating. All framework pipes and structure feet will be not only galvanised, but also powder-coated white. It is a purely aesthetic feature and we recommend it to all clients that pay attention to details and look for high-quality finish.

T.Domes Self-Assembly Kits come with assembly and dismantle instructions. By following our step-by-step manuals you will be able to break down you dome structure safely and move it to another location.
HOW DOES THE COLD WINTER AFFECT THE DOME?
Our glamping domes do very well in winter. When it comes to the heating. All the materials used to manufacture our domes are either fire resistant (do not burn) or fire retardant (melt but do not catch fire). For the best cold-climate experience we recommend the combination of insulation liner with either insulation and complete wood-burning stove or the chimney kit alone, that you can hook up to almost any stove you wish. It is designed to fit the covering membrane snugly and allow enough clearance that any hot elements won’t stand too close the wall of the dome. While due to its shape most of the snow slides down the dome

10 CONSIDERATIONS BEFORE STARTING YOUR PROJECTS MORE THAN 200SQ.FT.
Check with the building department at your local municipality to determine the requirements for building/demolition permits, setbacks, height restrictions or other by laws that may affect your project.
Follow the proper guidelines as indicated in your local by-laws. e.g. if attaching a deck to your home there may be height and approved fastening procedures. Do not disturb any underground utility lines.
Prior to disturbing the ground, contact the appropriate utility locating agency, to arrange for the marking of the location of buried facilities before digging takes place.
Remember, you are liable for any damage or injury caused by interfering with any buried infrastructure. Obtain suitable drawings for your project.
You may also require a site plan to define where on your property the project is located and if it meets setback, lot coverage and height restrictions.
Research the variety and quality of materials and finishes available for your project. Decide if this is a project you want to build or have a Home Hardware Building Centre install it for you.
Set up a site visit with Home Installs if you have decided to not build it yourself. Determine the tool requirements for your project if you are constructing the project…
check with your local Home Store for available selection. Consider future uses for your project and do the necessary prep work now. Prepare your work and delivery schedule.
